Learn / See / Accomplish

I recently decided to make a list of things that I want to learn, see and accomplish. I thought it would be helpful and inspiring to see them laid out in front of me. Now, I JUST started this list and it is nowhere near complete. This is something I plan to revisit frequently to add to and check things off.

LEARN / SEE / ACCOMPLISH

1. Raise a loving, honest and respectful man.

This is something that will not just happen. It is something that I can't wait to watch unfold.

2. Further my education.

I do have a college degree, but I want more! Not only for me, but for my family.

3. Learn how to knit.

I always think about this when my little one uses one of the beautiful homemade blankets he received when he was born. How wonderful it would be to do that for someone I care about!

4. Learn how to cross stitch.

Something I am currently working on!

5. Visit France!

Ever since I was in middle school and started taking French, I have been absolutely fascinated with The country.

6. Start doing yoga.

I always feel so inspired and empowered when I see people doing yoga. I want to start.

7. Be someone my son will be proud of.

Something I think about EVERYDAY.

I will keep adding to this list. I challenge all of you to make a learn / see / accomplish list. It really feels wonderful to see goals and dreams laid out in front of you! Share links to your list in the comments!

Welcome 2015!

I absolutely love the new year, it always leaves me feeling refreshed and hopeful for the changes I want to make for myself and those around me. I figured I would share my resolutions with y'all:

1. Become more organized.
I want to organize our TINY closets, my collection of books, my car... MY LIFE IN GENERAL!

2. Plan a family vacation.
Nothing crazy (come summer, Nicholas will be 2.) I figured a nice 2 or 3 day getaway would be perfect.

3. Focus more on the positive.
I'm considering starting a gratitude jar. Do anyone you use one? How has it worked for you?

4. Bake more. Cook more. More DIY projects.

I'm excited to share my journey through 2015 with all of you!

When I was younger, I would blog all the time. I would come home from school and it was the first thing I did. I have since gotten away from it and I'm not sure why. (It probably has something to do with the fact that I have a tiny human I am in charge of) I really want to get back into writing, it was always such a wonderful release for me.
Since becoming a mom I have lost a little bit of myself and I would really like to get that back. I think this may be a good way to do just that. Don't get me wrong, I love being a mom and I love my little man more than anything, but it's time to do a little something for me!
